West Ham United midfelder Declan Rice visited Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s house to discuss future plans with the club, as per reports.

Arsenal is set to secure the signing of their long-term target Declan Rice this summer. It has been well reported that the midfielder favoured to join Gunners over Manchester City.

Arteta’s side came very close to winning the 2022/23 Premier League Title and they are keen to bridge the gap between them and City this summer with some vital signings. Arsenal have already signed Chelsea forward Kai Havertz and they’re are also Southampton’s Romeo Lavia and Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.

Rice remains the key target for them this summer and as per recent reports, they’re well close to complete the deal. And, now it has emerged that Mikel Arteta conducted a proper groundwork to convince the England International to join them.

According to London World, Arteta invited the midfielder to his house to speak about what will be his role in the squad. The pair spoke about their plans with the club, as he is keen on moving to the Emirates this summer.

As per Daily Mail, negotiations between West Ham and Arsenal are ongoing in a positive way. However if discussion began to slow then Rice is reportedly prepared his desire to leave the club. He might pressurise Hammers to accept the deal.

Meanwhile, West Ham are hoping to recieve the initial of £100 million of Rice this summer. But Arsenal looking to pay in installments throughout the next four years.

Both the clubs may have to comprise to complete this deal.
