Beginning on February 10, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will feature up to 10 teams vying for the coveted championship. South Africa will host the forthcoming grand event after successfully hosting the inaugural edition of the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in January.

Each of the ten teams is divided into two groups of five. South Africa qualified by virtue of hosting, while seven teams qualified automatically. Furthermore, Bangladesh and Ireland advanced from the qualifiers. The teams compete against the teams in their respective groups in the first round, with the top two teams from each group proceeding to the knockout stage.
