Jota

Pundit Chris Sutton claims that Liverpool forward Diego Jota was awful against Chelsea at Stanford Bridge on Sunday.

The Former footballer also said that he still a fan of Portuguese international despite his poor start to the Premier League campaign. Reds started their season with a 1:1 draw against Chelsea.

It was a end-to-end match and both the teams fought till the very last minute. Somehow the match ended even for the team at Stanford Bridge.

Liverpool started the game with four attackers but managed to score only goal at the end of 90 minutes. Diego Jota played at the centre of attack on Sunday, however he had a bad outing and went missing through out the game.

Sutton was not impressed with Jota and his gameplay

Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live’s Fantasy Podcast, Sutton has given his verdict on Jota’s performance against Chelsea at the weekend as the Pundit picked the Portuguese in his FPL Team.

Sutton discussed his performance against Blues:-

“Yeah I was a bit disappointed with him at the weekend, he was awful and I was glad he got hooked off. I like Jota though, I’m going to stick with him, I am going to stick with Jota.”

As it’s just the start of the season, Jota will buildup to play in his highest calibre as the campaign unfolds. Meanwhile Uruguayan forward Darwin Nunez is breathing under his necks to take his spot in the starting-11.

If Jota doesn’t do his duties properly, Nunez will have to replace him and start against Bournemouth this Saturday. Cody Gakpo can also start in the middle of the attack as the Dutch International has good eye for goal.
