Manchester City’s Director Begiristain considers 21-years Doku to become world class at City. The club recently announced the deal for Jeremy Doku as done & dusted for €60m with Rennes.

Owing to this, Doku tweeted about his arrival at Manchester.

“I’m so proud to join this great club. I can’t wait to get started and to make history together! Thank you for welcoming me to your city, see you soon.”

Begiristain hopes Doku to become top player at Manchester City

In the club’s official announcement of Doku’s arrival, the Director said,

“Jeremy is a very exciting young player and I’m so pleased he’s joining us.”

Furthermore,“In terms of raw attributes, he has everything a winger needs. He has outstanding pace and he is exceptional in one-on-one situations.”

In addition to this, he said, “I honestly believe working with Pep and the technical staff here at City will see him develop into a world-class attacking talent.”

Above all, City’s boss Pep Guardiola is having a reputation of wringing out the best from his individuals will undoubtedly be a key in the development of Belgian international.

Not only Begiristain but also Pep is having a lot to expect from the former Ligue1 winger.

Doku’s career highlights at Ligue1

During his time at Ligue1, Jeremy Doku scored 12 goals and delivered 10 assists in 92 appearances across all competitions. In addition to this, the Belgian’s attacker racked up 47 carries to the penalty box in the previous season. This is more than any other Rennes player. He also made more successful take-ons (96) than any other player at the French club.

Even though some players have faced challenges in adjusting with Guardiola’s system in their debut season, it will be enthralling to see how quickly Doku fasten his boots in the Pep’s system.
