Erling Haaland to bid goodbye to his present club this weekend

The deal to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund is said to be in its final stages. The confirmation should be made public by either of the parties in this week only. The Norwegian striker is reportedly going to take the big step. He is set to join Premier League giants Manchester City. Moreover, about the transfer that is thought to be in its final stages. The Athletic further reports that Haaland to City is now looking like a ‘done deal’.

There are still some details pending in the deal which should be confirmed in the coming days. However, this should not be a hurdle in the completion of the deal. Haaland should officially be a Manchester City player by the coming pre-season. Moreover, Sky Germany has provided more information to as where the deal stands now.

According to Sky Germany, the Haaland deal is ‘nearing completion’.  Moreover, it has come to be known that the striker has informed Borussia Dortmund about his leaving the club this summer. Further it had been revealed that Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano had informed Dortmund official Hans-Joachim Watzke last week that City are ready to pay the release clause of Haaland.

Haaland’s release clause is reported to be €75million in his contract.Speaking about when this blockbuster news would be made official- Sky Germany has provided insight to that as well.They report that the official announcement could come over the course of this week only. Moreover, it will be ‘extremely important’ for Haaland as well. As Haaland wants to take this opportunity to say goodbye to the home fans before leaving the German powerhouse.

Will City go for another transfer this season after acquiring Erling Haaland?

It has come to be known that this payment of the transfer would not be like be the other ones. As in this case City would have release clause amount in one instalment.

However, for City buying Haaland will not be the final transfer this summer. City are said to be looking for a central midfielder to bolster their midfield coming season.
