ESPN Pundit Moreno claims Alexis Mac Allister is now much valuable to Klopp

Alejandro Moreno says that £35m Liverpool player Alexis Mac Allister is highly valuable for Jurgen Klopp. Moreno has said this owing to the ability of Alexis to play at multiple midfield positions. Moreno was speaking on ESPN as the panel discussed the most important players within Jurgen Klopp’s squad following their bright start to the new season. Though, Allister does not have the easiest of times since his move to Liverpool. They signed the Argentinian from Brighton for a sum of £35m this summer.

It is probably justice saying that The Reds are yet to witness the best of Mac Allister. However, it is not entirely his fault as well. Klopp has made him play in a holding midfielder position which is not his natural position. Speaking on ESPN, Moreno said,

“In my definition of valuable players, it’s a guy that can give me consistent performances. And in the case of Alexis Mac Allister, it’s not only consistent performances, but it’s consistent performances in different positions in the midfield.”

He can play different roles for you, he can take on different personalities for you. He can be a defensive guy, he can be a distributor, he can be a guy who’s 10 yards in front of the defensive line, or he can be 10 yards from the attacking half. It’s a guy who can give you different things. And that by definition makes him very valuable.”

Moreover, Liverpool fans have also given Alexis time to breathe. They know Klopp is not at his best when it comes to the role of a holding midfielder. With the presence of Szoboszlai in the squad, it is Alexis who has to be the responsible one. Liverpool will hope to resolve this as soon as possible.
