Journalist Fabrizio Romano rules out any transfer links between Arsenal and £85m Real Madrid star. There have been rumours about Arsenal and Aurelien Tchouameni links which is now ruled out by Romano. Though, he was said be a replacement for injury-driven Thomas Partey at The Emirates Stadium. However, he himself has sustained a fractured foot during the recent game against Barcelona. He is expected to be sidelined for next two months. Even though winter window will be open on his return, Romano believes there is no chance for a potential transfer.

Romano writes in his Caught Offside column,

“Thomas Partey’s recent injury is a blow for Arsenal. We are perhaps unsurprisingly seeing some stories come up as a result of this, with links to new midfielders who could perhaps replace Partey.

“Still, my understanding for now is that Arsenal have not decided anything yet about a new midfielder, and there’s nothing to the links with Aurelian Tchouameni. No talks, no proposals, or anything like that.”

Romano also told that the 23-year old Frenchman is in no mood to leave Madrid at such an early stage. He is a complete powerhouse and a superb ball-winner. Real Madrid will also not let him go.

“It’s also important to note that Tchouameni loves Real Madrid,” Romano adds.

“And they love him. So, at the moment, there’s nothing at all.

“He’s a top player and I’m sure he could have a big future at Real Madrid, even if it makes sense that we’re often likely to see links between him and other big clubs in the Premier League.”
