Fabrizio Romano says AC Milan are interested in Chelsea’s target striker as well

Italian giants AC Milan are looking to target Jonathan David who is recently linked with a move to Chelsea. Milan and Chelsea have done some business during this summer transfer between them. Stamford Bridge witnessed the transfers of Loftus Cheek and Christian Pulisic to San Siro. Now, 23-year old Lille star David is in the list of Milan’s transfer target. Journalist Simon Philips reported that Chelsea are looking to fill their no.9 spot. Owing to this, David was on the target list for Mauricio Pochettino along with some other options.

However, journalist Fabrizio Romano now suggests some fresh update on the transfer links of the Canadian striker. Italian juggernauts AC Milan will wait until next summer for a potential move of Jonathan as their main target. Romano was writing on his X,

“Jonathan David remains one of the top targets for AC Milan for 2024.

Deal could only be feasible in summer window due to price tag and with 12 months left in his current deal, it allows good chances for AC Milan to sign him.

He’s also on three Premier League clubs list.”

It was a fantastic last season for the striker as he scored 26 goals in 40 games in all competitions for French club. Though, it has been a slower start for him this season with only four goals in eighteen games so far. However, many critics claim that Chelsea must go for an experienced goal threat option rather than him. He is undoubtedly a great potential. but the Blues are in a desperate need of goal-scoring forward. Though, there are links between David and Chelsea, he might not be a target on the top of the list for them.
