Gabriel Agbonlahor believes Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier does not fit into the squad anymore. Agbonlahor also says that Dier should have a move to Bayern Munich in winter. The talkSPORT pundit has said that due to his lack of pace, Dier does not fit into the current Spurs set-up. Moreover, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg also reports that Tottenham gave a verbal agreement with German club. Though, West Ham United are also in the speculations to bring the defender into the club. Meanwhile, Gabriel says
“I look at him and I feel like if a team is playing a certain type of football, maybe it will suit him at Bayern Munich, but the way Ange is going to play, he is the last option.
Lack of pace with that high line. He doesn’t suit Spurs. He has had a decent career at Spurs and with England. Hopefully, at Bayern he can get a chance. Play some of the through balls he likes to play for Harry Kane.”
Dier should leave the North London club this month. The manager Ange Postecoglou does not rate him and consider him for his second choice even. Moreover, he has only started one match and three substitute appearances throughout this season. He will not be getting enough playing minutes and is out of pecking order as well. Postecoglour clearly does not fancy Dier, who is out of contract at Tottenham at the end of the season. It would make sense for Spurs to just sell the Englishman and get some transfer fee. This will be the best solution for both the parties to part there ways as soon as possible. Eric deserves to have some playing time at this stage of his career.
