German international Kai Havertz will be excited to join Arsenal and work with manager Mikel Arteta this summer, according to Dean Jones.

Havertz is apparently set to join the Gunners in the coming weeks. Chelsea will recieve £60 million, plus add-ons for the forward this summer.

Speaking on The Deal Done Show, Jones claimed that Havertz is excited by the prospect of joining Arsenal after a dull spell at Chelsea. The 24-year-old is looking forward to working with manager Mikel Arteta this season.

However Jones further stated :-

“The indications I’ve got are that Havertz is really excited about the fact Arteta can unlock his full potential in this league.

“He feels like he hasn’t been able to find his feet, he feels he’s not given the full version of himself and someone put it to me the other day, Arteta wants to sign the Germany version of Havertz, what we’ve seen in the Bundesliga and the national team.

“He’s not interested in what has happened at Chelsea because that’s not him.

The forward believes the fact that Arteta could help him improve, as he is excited to play under him. The German international will also start a new chapter in his footballing career this season.

Arteta is brilliant in his role when it comes to getting the best out the attacking players in his team. With the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus improving drastically under him and hence, Havertz believe the fact that he can go through similar transformation.

Moreover, Havertz will have a huge opportunity to reignite his career at the Emirates this term.
