How PSG lineup could look after signing Cristiano Ronaldo

For eternity, football fans, in general, wondered if Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo play for the same team. But that remained as a dream only. Both the modern legends locked horns on several occasions to topple each other. Now, they entered the twilight of their career and there seems a vague hope to watch them together.

These rumors are coming after Cristiano Ronaldo asked his present club Manchester United to set him free. He asked for it because he doesn’t feel that the club is competing for laurels at the moment, something which he is looking for at his age. The transfer business of Manchester United this summer has been quite underwhelming. The new Old Trafford outfit boss Erik Ten Hag already started preparations for the summer. But he will still look to add quality but is unable at the moment.

Ronaldo still wants to win the UEFA Champions League one more time before he hangs up his boots. Although PSG is not the club to go for based on their history, still there are rumors that the coveted player might join them ahead of the start of next season. The journalist Pedro Almeida claimed that PSG football advisor Luis Campos has now made contact with Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes to float the idea of a sensational move to Paris for the 37-year-old.

Now we will look at how the new PSG manager Christophe Galtier will compile his best team on paper.

New rumored PSG lineup

Galtier already hinted that he would experiment with a 3-4-3 or a 3-4-1-2 formation to accommodate the club’s attacking prowess.

In goal, the Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma is a sure hot starter. He will get adequate cover from the centre-backs in the form of Kimpembe, Ramos, and Marquinhos. Danilo Pereira and Verratti will play the role of DLP. Hakimi and Nuno Mendes will be the wingbacks in the lineup. Messi will assume the No.10 role whereas Ronaldo and Mbappe will be striking partners.
