INDIAN CRICKETERS FROM 2019 TO 2023 WC

The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) declared India’s squad for the World Cup 2023. However, the squad members of India in the 2023 ODI World Cup don’t feature various names as that of the 2019 ODI World Cup.

Shikhar Dhawan, Vijay Shankar, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are among the players who partook in the 2019 England and Wales World Cup but won’t in the 2023 contest.

Shikhar Dhawan, known as Mr. ICC, won’t be part of the Indian team in the upcoming India. He holds a good record in the ICC tournaments. In addition, he didn’t feature in any ODI matches for India since the 2019 World Cup.

Former skipper of India, MS Dhoni, announced his retirement from International cricket on August 15, 2020. In the meantime, Kedar Jadhav is absent from International cricket for a long stretch. He played his last ODI for India in February 2020.

While all-rounder Vijay Shankar’s last presence in ODI playing for India was in the 2019 ODI World Cup. Dinesh Karthik’s previous ODI match playing for India was in the 2019 ODI World Cup Semifinals against New Zealand. Nowadays, the wicketkeeper has turned into a commentator.

While India’s ace spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s absence from the World Cup squad 2023 shook everyone. He has been an asset to the Indian cricket team. Lastly, Bhuvneshwar Kumar the ace pacer will be missing the World Cup 2023. He played his latest ODI for India in January 2022 and didn’t appear in any ODI events since then.
