Indian team arrive in Colombo for Asia Cup 2023. India to face their long-standing rival Pakistan on September 2nd at Pallekele International Stadium, Sri Lanka.

INDIAN TEAM ARRIVE IN COLOMBO

Rohit Sharma and his team spotted at Colombo airport, Sri Lanka, on August 30th, Wednesday. Indian star batsman Virat Kohli, ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah, all-rounder Hardik Pandya, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, skipper Rohit Sharma, fast bowler Mohammad Shami, and head coach of Indian team Rahul Dravid spotted having candid conversation with each other.

Kl Rahul is still dealing with his injury and will, unfortunately, miss the first two matches of the Asia Cup 2023. However, Kl Rahul is recovering well and is under the supervision of the National Cricket Academy until September 4th.

Head coach of Indian cricket team Rahul Dravid stated

“He (KL Rahul) had a good week with us, he is progressing well on the route that we want to take, but he will be unavailable for the first part of the Kandy leg of the trip.

he further stated

The NCA will be looking after him while we are travelling. We will reassess him on the fourth (September 4) and we will take it from there. The signs are good and he is progressing well”

Rohit Sharma (c), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya (vc), Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna, Sanju Samson (travelling reserve).

While, fans from both nations are eagerly waiting to witness the India vs. Pakistan Asia Cup game. The next most anticipated game for the fans of both sides is on October 14th, 2023, the World Cup match.
