Inter Milan are ready to bid for Arsenal defender this summer

Inter Milan are ready to make a bid for Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu, who Mikel Arteta is looking to offload for a right price this summer.

The Japanese international struggled with injuries last season and hence he lost his place in the starting-11. Now, after arrival of Jurrien Timber, Tomiyasu is expected to leave the club this summer.

The 24-year-old centre-back made just six appearances last term, 20 less than the previous campaign. In current scenario, Tomiyasu should move away from the North-London club as it will be the best decision for him.

Tomiyasu previously made a name for himself in Seria-A for Bologna. Hence the thought of joining Inter Milan can be a possible option for him.

After bringing the likes of Kai Havertz and Declan Rice this summer, Arsenal are now looking to offload some of their players. Florian Balogun is one of the player they’ll like to sell to earn some funds back.

Inter prepared £20m bid for Tomiyasu

As per Italian outlet Corriere della Sera, Inter Milan is planning to launch a bid of £20 million for the Japanese international. However Arsenal are only interested in offers in the region of £35m for Tomiyasu.

Inter are in a urgent need of bringing a new right-back after Milan Skriniar left the club for Paris Saint-Germain. Manager Simone Inzaghi identifies Tomiyasu as a viable option for his defensive line this season.

Gunners are in urgent need of new defensive midfielder before transfer window closes next month. Romeo Lavia is a perfect candidate for the vacant spot at the Emirates but they’ve to face competition from Chelsea and Liverpool.
