Manchester United player Andre Onana could potentially return to Inter Milan just after leaving them this season. Inter Milan’s CEO Marotta hints the return of Onana. Despite featuring in the Champions League final last season, Onana has been unable to replicate his performance at Old Trafford. After 11 games in all competitions since he joined, the Cameroonian has conceded 19 goals. He is even looking error-prone between the sticks. Onana is contracted with United until 2028 but his former club has hinted the return for him.

I can’t predict the future but in football anything can happen,” Marotta told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“For sure it was great chapter for Onana and for us. It was also a successful deal to sign him for free and sell for that money.”

The 27-year old left the Italian giants to join his former boss Erik Ten Hag at Manchester United for £47.4million this summer. Onana signed for Inter from Ajax on a free transfer in 2022 but left just a year later for United for £47.4million including add-ons. he made 41 appearances for San Siro and even played all of their Champions League games. Meanwhile, he kept 19 cleans sheets throughout the campaign. However, till now he has managed only three clean sheets for the Red Devils. He also failed to leave an impact in the Champions League against Galatasaray and Bayern Munich. He conceded 7 goals in just two games. Even though he has struggled, he still has got the back of his manager in all of the fixtures so far.
