Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville predict the scoreline of Newcastle vs Chelsea clash. Chelsea and Newcastle will lock horns this weekend at St James Park. Nevertheless, Mauricio Pochettino will look to continue from where his side left for the international break.
Speaking on The Overlap, Jamie Carragher and Neville made a joint score prediction ahead of Magpies versus Chelsea. Carragher said,
“I think Newcastle at home.”
Neville added,
“2-0 Newcastle. Chelsea aren’t scoring up there.”
Though, Chelsea suffered a 1-0 defeat in the same fixture during the last season. However, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino will surely be delighted with the form of his boys in the recent days. Moreover, with the arrival of Nkunku and Lavia from injury, the Argentinian manager will have his options bolstered. Blues supporters are intrigued to see if Christopher Nkunku is close to making his competitive debut for the club.
Journalist Simon Phillips also reported this weekend that the Frenchman will be available for slection against the Magpies. The 26-year old has not featured in a single Premier League game due to injury. The manager will be cautious though with Lavia and Christopher so as they do not sustain another injury. The Blues fans will be eagerly waiting to watch their players back in action after two impressive games. Moreover, Eddie Howe’s side will also be keen on continuing their form they have from the previous season.
