The last four days have been all about Mohammed Siraj, who impressed everyone with his stellar performance at the Asia Cup 2023. A player who belongs to Hyderabad desired the day to represent his country. The Journey of Mohammed Siraj is incredible, as his hard work paid off, eyeing an opportunity that many young boys desire.

His journey to play cricket began when he was just 16 years old. He just played around the streets to engage himself while bowling swiftly. At 16 when he picked nine wickets for his uncle’s society club in a one-day game. He was awarded INR 500 for his performance. Later, as the years passed, Siraj worked hard, participating in the Hyderabad Zonal games. Soon, an opportunity knocked on his door, the Ranji Trophy selection.

He made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2015-16. However, his performance in the Ranji debut wasn’t much of a talked-about event. Soon, he worked on himself with his coach, Bharat Arun, backing him. However, his biggest breakthrough was in the 2016-17 Ranji, picking 41 wickets. In addition, he emerged as the highest wicket-taker for Hyderabad.

Siraj got recognized, and soon he was roped in by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Ipl 2017 for INR 2.6 cr. He is currently an adept pacer for RCB. He represented India in test cricket in December 2020 against Australia. Siraj at the same time was battling emotionally after his father demise.

Siraj took 13 wickets in the series. Years later, Siraj mastered his skill and became the go-to seamer for the Indian captain under certain conditions.
