Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of Cheick Doucoure – Fabrizio Romano

In his podcast, Italian journalist and transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano claims Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of Malian midfielder Cheick Doucoure.

Reds have already signed three midfielders this summer in likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo. However, there’s still room for one more midfielder before the transfer window gets closed.

Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucoure has been under Liverpool’s radar for a longtime now. Throughout the summer, the 23-year-old has been linked with the Mersyside club.

And now, Fabrizio Romano claims that there is some truth to the speculations. Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Both Liverpool board and manager Jurgen Klopp are huge admirer of the young midfielder, but the deal looks like a complex one.

Romano shared his information about Doucoure:-

“Doucoure is a player that is highly rated by Liverpool.

“It is true that people in the board really appreciate him and Jurgen Klopp to, the problem is Crystal Palace, that’s why we can’t mention a proper negotiation, or an advanced negotiation.

“The admiration is there, the player is high on the list at Liverpool, but Palace, after losing important players, they are really fighting to keep their players at the club.”

The German admires the Malian talent

Jurgen Klopp has been huge fan of Cheick Doucoure’s talent. However his £70 tag looks bit pricy look at his current stature.

Doucoure is someone everybody should keep an eye as he looks a player of great potential. Yesterday, he completed 85% accurate passes against Arsenal, but Eagles lost the match 1:0.

Although, Liverpool might not pay £70 million for Doucoure this summer.
