Journalist Graeme Bailey claims Ajax defender Jurrien Timber is a better signing then West Ham star Declan Rice this summer.

Arsenal are experiencing a very good summer transfer window this term and are close to announcing more signings after Kai Havertz’s inclusion. Gunners have bough the Chelsea forward for £60 million this summer and and offered £100 m plus add-ons deal to Declan Rice.

Timber is also under Arsenal’s radar and the club also submitted a proposal to sign him this summer from Ajax FC. Both the clubs are working on deal.

Speaking on the Talking Transfer, journalist Graeme Bailey claims that the deal for Timber in now done in his eyes. He believes that Gunners are getting a player who can more valuable than Rice. The Journalist further said :-

“Jurrien Timber is done. Agreed. 47 million Euros is the total package. The deal is worth £120-a-week, we understand, roughly. So it’s not a big deal in Premier League terms.

“Fantastic piece of business, Timber. Timber, out of the three [Rice and Havertz]. He could end up being the best of the three. Easily. In terms of value for money he is already way ahead of the other two. I love Timber. I think he’s great. He’s one Liverpool and United will massively regret not doing.”

Jurrien Timber is a perfect player for Arsenal. He is young, talented and already has expirience in a good league. As per Bailey, the Dutch fullback could be outstanding signing for Gunners.

The fee around £40 million could also end being a bargain if Arsenal can get over this deal.
