Manage Jurgen Klopp praises new signing Ryan Gravenberch for his brilliant display against Union SG in the Europa League.

Reds won the match 2:1 against the Belgian outfit at Anfield. However it was not a easy victory for the home team but they picked up a comfortable victory in the end.

Gravenberch was in brilliant form for his new club lately as he scored his debut goal for Liverpool and Klopp is happy with his progression. The 21-year-old has been under their radar since his Ajax days.

Liverpool signed Gravenberch on the deadline day of this summer transfer window. Klopp finally got his man as he has been a sensation since joining the club.

The Dutch midfielder already scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists in this initial phase of this current campaign. Gravenberch scored the opening goal of the nights as he was alert after Union SG’s Goalkeeper Anthony Moris couldn’t deflect Trent Alexander-Arnold’s shot away.

Meanwhile, praising the young midfielder, Klopp said :-

“I think it’s really obvious how good he is, what a talent he is.

“He’s enjoying the situation, enjoying himself, that’s very important, [he] gets step by step all the confidence back, that’s really cool to see. He’s in the middle of the group, fits really well to the age group of the majority of the squad, so that’s really good. That’s only positive.

“We thought he might be able to play 90, we want to give him 90, but then we saw how he dropped a little bit and didn’t want to go there [with] any risks, so that’s why we brought on Dom for a few minutes.”
