Manager Jurgen Klopp slammed for keeping midfielder Alexis Mac Allister on the pitch despite getting a yellow card in the first-half against Tottenham Hotspur.

Reds lost the clash in a dramatic fashion as Joel Matip scored a own goal to home team all three points on Saturday. For a nine man Liverpool it was a horror night to forget.

However, the two red cards didn’t do much help and monitoring the game on BBC, former Reds Stephen Warnock claims that Jurgen Klopp was playing with fire.

Watching on the BBC, Warnock commented on Klopp’s game plan as he was the suprised that he kept Mac Allister on despite the Argentine getting a yellow card in the first-half. He said :-

“Liverpool are ringing in the changes now. I am surprised that Mac Allister has stayed on. He is not the quickest and if he gets caught now it’s another red.

“He was booked in the first half and Liverpool can hardly afford to go down to eight men. If that does happen then it is all on the manager. A man on a yellow when you are already two players down, take him off.”

Liverpool will not be impacted with defeat Tottenham on Saturday. Klopp will do everything to rebuild their momentum this season.

The manager must now look at his squad to balance his team out in next couple of weeks. However, this defeat away from home felt like a wrecking ball for Liverpool.
