Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel claims that manager Jurgen Klopp was not at all impressed with Alexis Mac Allister at Molineux.

Speaking on the Premier League Productions, Schmeichel states that the Argentine international was not at his very best against Wolves on Saturday. Mac Allister to struggled find his rhythm as he looked fatigued due to international break last week.

He travelled more than some of his teammates due to his international duty last week. Mac Allister struggled to play at the heart of the midfield and hence he was taken off.

Klopp subbed him off in the second-half as Luis Diaz came in to change the course of the match. Liverpool came back 3:1 as Wolves lost the encounter after scoring a goal in the opening minutes of the match.

Schmeichel made fun of it and said :-

“You also saw from that clip, how direct and how much more energy that Liverpool came out with in the second half.

“He (Klopp) must have had a big, big half-time talk. He was so unhappy in the first half. But they came out in the second and delivered.

“I don’t know what he told Mac Allister. ‘Go and sit on the naughty step?’ He was the first one out, so when Diaz was actually being prepared to come on. He was behind. You could see how unhappy he was. But it’s great managerial work. Every substitution he made worked.”

Reds will be ready to start their Europa League campaign this week against Australia outfit LASK. Mac Allister will be focusing on present as everyone is aware of his expliots.

However, Jurgen Klopp might rotate his team as he might give opportunities to some of the youngsters in the squad.
