Italian centre-back Leonardo Bonucci criticises his former club Juventus for their illicit behaviour and spreading fake news about him .
Bonucci terminated his contract with the Italian Giants and joined German outfit Union Berlin in this summer on a one-year contract. However, it was not the ideal departure for the centre-back as he was forced out the club.
The 36-year-old breaks his silence after his departure. Bonucci claims that he will take legal against his former club for not providing proper training facility and preparation condition.
While on speaking on Mediaset, Bonucci discussed the matter and said :-
“I’ve been humiliated by Juventus.
“Juventus manager (Allegri) reported some fake stories. It’s not true that Juventus told me months ago, in October and in February, about their intention to part ways with me”.◉
“In May, I told Juventus board that I was open to stay as 5/6th choice to help all their young players”.
“Juventus directors only told me on July 13 that I was out of their project… after rumors on newspapers”.
“This was the biggest humiliation I’ve suffered”.
“I’ve smelled something by reading it in the newspapers, that I would no longer be part of the Juventus squad and that my presence would also hinder the growth of the team”.
“This was the humiliation I suffered after more than 500 games in bianconero… everyone showed me their closeness for the disrespectful behavior of the clun”.
Bonucci claims Juventus manager didn’t support him
Leonardo Bonucci also claims that Juventus Massimiliano Allegri didn’t support him during this tough phase of his career. He said :-
“Juventus manager (Allegri) reported some fake stories. It’s not true that Juventus told me months ago about their intention to part ways with me.
“In May, I also told Juventus that I was open to stay as 5/6th choice to help young players”.
Bonucci has been a long term servant for The Old Lady as he and Giorgio Chiellini has been one of the best centre-back duo’s in last decade. However, after all the hardwork, the centre-back was not given the due respect at the very end.
Even Bonucci’s wife pens a emotional letter to Juventus after his husband’s tragic departure. She wrote :-
“You were the first thought, the priority, and I was the one for the time left. You were always there even when I couldn’t see you. One of those friends that always make you feel in the shadow but protected at the same time. I knew I came second, but the first one was unreachable. A friend who would always inspire you even when things didn’t work, surprising you all the time.”
