Liverpool are reported to have made their first move to sign the Brazilian youngster Matheus Reis. Liverpool are the first to make a move for Matheus who is wanted by many Premier League clubs. According to CalcioMercato, the Reds were looking for information about the 16-year old attacker with a £43m release clause. Owing to the reports, Reis is like Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus. Consequently, clubs like Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea are keen on getting the Brazilian wonderkid. With Liverpool’s interest recently cooling in Andre Trindade, a swoop for the Libertadores champion can be on the table.

Indeed, Brazil has become the home for top European sides to snatch young talents with Matheus seeming to be the next. If the Reds secure a move for Reis, it will be really be a smart move for them. Matheus is clearly a highly rated talent with Fluminense valuing him for £43m and four English clubs already in a race for the 16-year old. Liverpool must make the early call as many top clubs are aleady inquiring about the forward from the continent.

Though, securing a teenager at such a high price this early can also be a big gamble from the Merseyside club. The sum of £43 can be considered as a potentially higher price to put down, it might all be worth in the future. Matheus Reis will only get better from here in the future. Moreover, Liverpool have been a great team when it comes to securing teenage players from the clubs. The upcoming weeks will be important for the teenager as the clubs will give their best to secure him.
