Liverpool loanee taken to hospital due to an ankle injury

20- years old Sepp van den Berge, a Liverpool loanee to Schalke was taken to hospital after he suffered an ankle injury during the match.

Van den Berge joined Schalke on loan this summer.

Van den berge is a Dutch footballer. He joined Liverpool in 2019 from PEC Zwolle. He played a few games for Liverpool’s first team after joining Preston North End on loan. This summer the youngster joined Schalke in a late transfer window move.

The youngster has started in 4 league games for Schalke and was involved in their defeat to Augsburg on Sunday.

Suffered a horrendous injury during the match

Unfortunately, during the game against Augsburg on Sunday. He suffered a horrible injury and was taken to hospital. Schalke’s Twitter handle tweeted about his injury, the tweet reads

“Sepp van den Berg is on the way to the hospital with a suspected ankle injury. We keep our fingers crossed for you, Sepp!”

Van den Berge was treated on the pitch first, but he had been taken off the field on the stretcher after which he was taken straight to the hospital for further treatment.

This 20- year old star seems to have great potential that’s why Liverpool thought it would be better to send him on loan to the Bundesliga, so he could gain some playing time for the development of his talent. But after suffering from an unfortunate accident, Liverpool and Schalke both would be hoping that the injury isn’t too bad.
