Journalist Toby Cudworth says Liverpool are eyeing on the Premier League title by adding two players in January. Cudworth claims Klopp is looking for additions in the winter transfer for aiming high in the League. Though, it is also worth noticing that Liverpool have been impressive so far this season. Yet, looking at their squad, it is clear they need some signings to compete for the title. This can be something worthy of looking at with Toby Cudworth also saying,
“Liverpool have started the season well.“
“Given Man City’s early failings, Liverpool think they can be in the mix for the title so in January I would expect them to try and sign a centre-back and a defensive midfielder and maybe another player on top of that, depending on what’s available to them.”
“But those are the two areas that I think Jurgen Klopp would want to address first and that’s not to say that they didn’t have a summer window in the end, because I think they did.”
Liverpool’s start to the season has been a satisfying one so far. Though, their fans will hope them to compete for the title charge alongside Manchester City and Arsenal. Moreover, if the Merseyside club wants to go for a title challenge, they must spend some amount in the January window. They must go for an addition to their defensive department that needs reinforcements. Even one or two quality signings can help them go for a title challenge in the new year.
