Liverpool may reignite their interest in Khephren Thuram in the January Transfer Window

Liverpool maybe looking to sign Nice star Khephren Thuram in January. Thuram was previously a target for Liverpool in summer. Though, nothing concrete was established between the club and player. However, now they are looking “serious” in the pursuit of midfielder. The Reds were in contact with a couple of defensive midfielders over the course of summer transfer like Caicedo and Lavia. The two deals were eventually hijacked by Chelsea. Consequently, Liverpool ended up signing Wataru Endo from German club Stuttgart.

However, with Klopp’s brigade at the top of table, a new midfield figure is possible. Son of former World Cup winner Lilian Thuram, Khephren is strong, intelligent both on and off the ball. He can definitely compensate for Alexander Arnold’s defensive loopholes. With him still being 22-year old, his best days are yet to hit. Although Liverpool are doing a great business with a strong central defensive midfielder, they can go for one still. It will definitely help them in the course of their long season ahead.

The Merseyside club is performing very well looking at their previous campaign’s position. Their new skipper Virgil Van Dijk is also looking back at his best. Moreover, he is also working extremely appreciable as the captain. Their midfield overhauling is proving out to be a real business as they sit first in the Premier League. The reinforcement of a strong defensive midfielder will surely bolster their chances of regaining their English league glory. Thuram is surely a perfect fit for it.
