Liverpool to submit a bid for Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie

Liverpool might submit a bid for Bayern Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie this summer, as per recent reports in Spanish media.

Reports suggest that Reds are currently preparing a bid of £45 million in attempt to sign the Equadorian International. The Mersyside is club is in urgent need of a left-footed centre-back to support their backline this season.

More than £100 million are already spent on bringing the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo this summer. However, there’s still room for one more midfielder as Liverpool are currently monitoring numbers possible options as the transfer will conclude in next few days. The likes of Andre(Fluminense), Ryan Gravenberch (Bayern Munich) and Cheick Doucoure (Crystal Palace) are under there radar for the vacant place in their squad.

However, Liverpool are also looking for new centre-back in this transfer window. Reports claims that they’re looking for a defender who can compete with both Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk in future.

As per Spanish outlet Fichajes, Liverpool are willing to sign Piero Hincapie from Bayern Leverkusen this summer. However, the defender is currently recovering from a injury and he should back to full fitness next week.

The English club is showing the strongest of interest in the 21-year-old currently and willing the required sum of money. Report suggests that £45 million will be enough to secure his signature this summer.

Although, Leverkusen are under no pressure to sell him soon. Hincapie has a contract till 2027 with German outfit.

The Equadorian is a left-footed defender, who has the ability to go up the field with ease. Jurgen Klopp will appreciate his addition into the squad as he’ll be phenomenal while couter-attacking opponents.
