Liverpool is not willing to pay Cheick Doucoure’s transfer fee this summer as Crystal Palace’s asking price is exceeding Reds’ transfer budget.
For last few weeks, Doucoure’s name has been linked with Liverpool. The Malian International has been under their radar as Jurgen Klopp considers him “special”.
Doucoure has been in serious form for Palace in last campaign. Hence his performance have not gone unnoticed as many consider him as special talent who has a great future ahead.
Manager Jurgen Klopp suggests that there are things which are not quite possible for the club. He said :-
“I I have all the information around and I know what is possible and not possible, and it’s not always exactly what I want”.
“But it’s not my job to complain, I will make my best for the team”.
Doucoure’s transfer fee exceeds Liverpool’s transfer budget this season. Despite being Klopp’s favourite, the club won’t pay a hefty amount for a youngster at this moment of time.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano also stated that Reds enquired about the possibility of signing Doucoure but Palace’s asking fee is too much for them. The Italian also stated that Manchester City are taking interest in Eberechi Eze, another standout performer for Eagles.

Transfer window closes on September 1st, Liverpool still haven’t signed the necessary fourth midfielder, as their is still a vacant position left at middle of the park.
Doucoure would have been a perfect signing for Reds this summer, but his transfer fee is too high at the moment. Only few days left in this transfer window, Liverpool needs to buckle up.
