As the transfer window closes in next few days, Liverpool are now planning to raid Aston Villa Douglas Luiz as the Brazilian emerges as a late target.
Reds still remains quite active despite signing three midfielders this summer. Mac Allister, Szoboszlai and Endo started against Newcastle United on Sunday.
Club legend Jamie Carragher suggests that Liverpool should improve their squad of they want to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League Title. He believes that Reds need to sign atleast two more players this week.
Journalist Ben Jacobs now suggest that Liverpool should sign Douglas Luiz as Klopp is a huge admirer of the Brazilian. He said :-
“Yeah, Douglas Luiz is a name that has been discussed internally by Liverpool. I’m not aware of any movement at this point.
“I think that it’s crystal clear that Liverpool wants to add between now and the end of the window if the right name becomes available.”
Since establishing himself as a superstar at Villa, Luiz have been linked with a move away from the club occassionally. Liverpool should make most the situation and sign him as soon as possible.
However, Aston Villa are reluctant to sell him as Luiz is a key man in Unai Emery’s plan. The Brazilian is priced at £60 million as per reports.
There is not such strong speculations around any particular individual as Reds still monitoring number of possible options this summer. Hence all eyes will be on the Mersyside club for next few days.
