The Merseyside club, Liverpool are currently in Thailand for their pre-season tour. But upon their arrival, they didn’t board the right bus.

Jurgen Klopp and his side arrived in far South-East Asia with a 37-man squad for their pre-season in Thailand. They will also follow it up by touring Singapore. Except for Mohamed Salah, Alisson, Kostas Tsimikas, and Fabinho, most of the squad traveled. The Merseyside Reds will face their age-old domestic rivals Manchester United on Tuesday. Next, they will face another Premier League side Crystal Palace in Singapore.

The squad reunited for the first time since their loss in UCL Final. This time the squad has a couple of new faces with the likes of Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho as well. In a press conference Klopp confirmed:

“We brought 37 players here. We have all generations here and we have to use all of them. Because the boys who were on international duty in the summer only arrived today, pretty much. And they cannot play too long. But we will try to give them a few minutes as well.”

What happened since the arrival of Liverpool in Thailand

At the Suvarnabhumi Airport on Sunday, there happened a funny incident. The club arrived in advance for their club’s fixture against Manchester United on July 12. Upon their arrival, thousands of fans greeted and a special and decorated bus was present to pick them up. However, a misunderstanding happened on the site which led the team to board the wrong bus. The report from Nation Thailand quotes the following:

“After the arrival ceremony, Klopp greeted Liverpool fans and got into a bus with the sticker “Tom Sermyon” instead of the fully-decorated bus waiting for the team.”

“After the incident, netizens were confused and curious as to why the team did not take the Liverpool bus. While the keyword ‘Tom Sermyon’ also went viral.”
