Liverpool ready to target Celta Vigo youngster Gabri Veiga

After Caicedo Conundrum, Liverpool are now ready to target Celta Vigo youngster Gabri Veiga in the summer transfer window.

Last season, 21-year-old was in tremendous form. He scored 11 goals and provided 4 assists for the Spanish Outfit.

Big names in Europe are currently monitoring him due his exploits last season. Liverpool are interested in the Spanish midfielder and are moving strategically for his signature.

Midfield still remains a priority for Reds this summer. According to Spanish outlet Nacional, Jurgen Klopp has changed his priority as the German is now ready pursuit Veiga this summer.

Seria-A champions Napoli are also in the race and Celta Vigo has once rejected their bid as it didn’t match their valuation. Veiga’s release clause is set at £40 million.

Manger Rafa Benitez has now given update on the current situation:-

“Gabri had a great season last year and has the age and potential to grow and become an important player. Therefore, it is normal that he attracts the attention of top teams from other leagues, with the economic capacity to deal with his price tag.

“Today we know that there is official interest, we will see how it will turn out. For us he is so important that if he stays it’s a good thing, but I don’t know what the market will say.”

Celta Vigo will like earn revenue by selling their top prospect this summer. Veiga is an exciting prospect and will have lot of admirers in Europe.
