Liverpool wants to sign Crystal Palace striker

According to reports Liverpool wants to sign Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha on a free transfer next year.

Zaha has been an important player for Crystal Palace for the past eight seasons. He runs out of contract next summer. Liverpool wants to take advantage of it by signing him on a free transfer.

29-years old Ivory coast international is regarded as one of the best strikers in the Premier League. He has scored 108 goals in 287 appearances in the Premier League.

Zaha is best known for his pacy dribbles on the pitch, taking out defenders, and ice-cold finishing. He already has five goals and one assist in nine league games this season. He scored the winner against Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2-1 win.

Liverpool looking to strengthen their attack

According to reports by Calciomercato (via Fichajes), Liverpool has identified Wilfred Zaha as a transfer target for next summer. After the departure of Sadio Mane, Liverpool are struggling in their attacking department. Although, they signed Darwin Nunez this summer who is yet to show his full potential.

This could be the last season of Zaha at Crystal Palace. Zaha has already been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea. Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vierra has opened his mouth about the striker’s future. He said:

“It’s not an issue at all. Wilfried knows what the club thinks about him and we know what he thinks about the club. There will be a discussion taking place, but for myself and for the club what is important is for him to play at this level and to be consistent.”

Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are out for two months due to injury, Jota will miss the World Cup. Roberto Firmino’s contract runs out next summer. That’s why Liverpool would be willing to sign Zaha as he could really strengthen the attack.
