New signing James Maddison is highly impressed with one of his new Tottenham Hotspur team-mate since he arrived at the club.
Maddison joined the North-London club from Leicester City this summer. New boss Ange Postecoglou quickly shifted gears and signed him for £40 million.
After showcasing his talent for the Foxes for so many years, Maddison is looking to step-up his game and help Tottenham to push towards a top four finish next season.
However, while speaking to the press, Maddison claims that he is highly impressed with Yves Bissouma since he arrived. He said :-
“Bissouma’s a very very good player. I played against him when he was at Brighton and he probably didn’t play as much as he’d like to have done last season. But there’s a top player in there, and maybe that would have been a good answer for the last question, he’s surprise me a little bit. He’s a leader, he talks.
“For someone who’s only been at the club for a year and didn’t maybe have the best first season as he would have hoped. He’s very demanding and very vocal, and there’s a brilliant player in there so I’m looking forward to seeing how that partnership can go.”
Tottenham paid around £25 million for Bissouma but as Maddison states that he haven’t had much game time. Everybody saw his real potential in Brighton colours. Now he has all the opportunity to start showing for the Spurs .
There’s lot of buzz coming out the camp that how impressive he’s been and with Maddison’s comments, every eye will be on Bissouma next season.
