Malo Gusto has reportedly gained interest from Chelsea

Malo Gusto

Malo Gusto have been identified by Chelsea as their next target in this transfer window. Malo Gusto looks to be a perfect alternative for Chelsea’s Reece James. The Blues are currently looking to sign a new right-back who could give some competition to James. Furthermore, the Englishman have suffered from a few injury issues in recent years. But he is one of the best right-backs as of now, therefore Chelsea are looking for someone to cover for him. Gusto is looked at as their potential target, but Lyon wants to keep the player in France. However, a higher bid for the player could change their minds. The youngster have already caught the eyes of some big Premier League clubs. Moreover, his contract with Lyon is to expire by the end of next season so he is a good target for these clubs.

Malo Gusto have gained interest from other Premier League clubs

Chelsea have had a busy transfer window this season. They have already shown that they have the financial power to buy any player they want. They are also currently signing young players. Malo Gusto would fit into this strategy of Chelsea’s. Reports claim Chelsea might face some competition in signing the player. Malo Gusto have gained interest from both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. Therefore the player could join any of these Premier League teams if Lyon decides to sell him. However, Chelsea seems to be in the firm belief to sign the player given to their financial power. Though only time will tell how this transfer saga turns out. The Blues would look to sign him either this winter or in the summer transfer window.

There have been questions regarding Gusto’s performance this season. But Lyon themselves are not doing any better as a team. Therefore questioning just Malo Gusto would be wrong on several parts. On paper, Chelsea have better players than Gusto in their squad. However, it might do the young player some good to perform in a more competitive team.
