Manchester City legend David Silva admits he misses playing for the club

Manchester City legend David Silva has recently made a claim about the club. David revealed that he misses playing for City years after leaving the club. The Spaniard has recently announced his retirement from football after suffering from injuries in recent years. However, he spent almost a decade with Manchester City. accumulating a total of 436 appearances and stunning trophy-haul. Moreover, Silva also have a statue of his erected outside of the Etihad Stadium. He left the club and went on to join Real Soceidad where he was forced to retire suffering an ACL injury in training.

In a recent interview with the Mirror, David reveals that,

“I miss playing and I miss playing for City. It’s my club. I spent 10 years of my life there, so I have very good memories of being there.

“When I started playing, I couldn’t imagine that I would win so many titles. The aim was only to play at the highest level possible. I went back to Manchester with Real Sociedad last season, when we played United at Old Trafford and won 1-0.

“But I want to go back there with my family, maybe next year.”

“Maybe one day I will become a coach“ said David Silva.

“But not just yet. Right now I’m enjoying the break and focusing on the wine.”

Though, Silva is not the only one Etihad had witnessed losing. Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany, Ilkay Gundogan and Fernandinho are some names that left since Pep came to City. Despite this, the Sky Blues have managed to retain their dominance in the Premier League and won five out of last six league titles. moreover, they also have won a historic treble last season.
