Moreover, they are currently having one win in their last five games. This is a huge blow for Pep and Manchester City as they eye on a fourth-consecutive league title. The treble winners lost players like Ilkay Gundogan, Mahrez, Laporte and palmer in the summer window. Furthermore, injury sustained by Kevin De Bruyne during the start of the campaign is also costing the Cityzens.

Speaking on the question of transfer plans, Pep said,

“No. Right now, I don’t have anything in my mind. It depends on if they leave, or don’t leave. I don’t know.

Some players stay, or some players leave, it depends on the amount in the squad, it depends on the young players we rely on them or not for some moments, we will see.

I don’t think about that [transfers] for one second. Txiki [Begiristain] is in this role for this. We talk, but now we have a lot of games, and many, many important ones and I’m focused on that.”

Manchester City are currently scheduled to play only three matches next month. The matches against Newcastle United and Burnley in the Premier League. Besides this, an FA Cup third round tie against Huddersfield Town.
