Manchester City are said to be bringing Rafael Leao from AC Milan this summer.

City have been busy in the transfer market, signing power players like Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez. Pep Guardiola seems to strengthen his attack next season.

Though they had an impressive season in front of the goal-scoring 99 goals in total in the Premier League. This was the highest scored by any team.

Still, it seems that Pep would like to start his new season by playing a conventional striker. Therefore, now it remains to be seen how he would implement his ‘false nine’ strategy with a conventional striker.

Moreover, City already have a scintillating attack line with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Jack Grealish, and Phil Foden.

City are now looking to bolster their attack by signing a third new striker. Fichajes reports that Manchester City have set its eyes on Rafael Leao for this summer, next.

Leao had his best season so far as a forward. He scored 14 goals in all competitions.

His versatility, moreover, has caught the eye of Pep. He can play out wide as well as through the middle.

Which player could be offloaded by Manchester City to accommodate a new signing?

It is said that the signing of Leao could lead to City axing a forward player coming summer.

Sterling and Gabriel Jesus have been heavily linked away out of the club.

Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffside exclusively that both Sterling and Jesus could leave the club this summer.

Now, Sterling is heavily linked with Arsenal.

City’s strategy recruitment strategy this season seems to be signing young players. It seems that they are preparing a team for the long haul here.

Haaland, Alavarez and Leao are all under 22.

Moreover, after winning the Premier League this season they do not need to spend heavily to change the current playing eleven.
