Manchester City are willing to sell João Cancelo and they’ve no issue if he joins Arsenal this summer, according to Dean Jones.
Speaking on the Chasing the Transfer Podcast, Jones stated that Cancelo’s future after end of his loan spell at Bayern Munich. It seems that the Portuguese will leave Manchester City in this transfer window.
Arsenal are interested in Cancelo for a long time now. But they’re not willing to spend more than 26 million on the full-back.
There were no links as Arsenal are busy with other transfers, but Dean Jones has suggested that Gunners continue to monitor Cancelo in this window.
Jones stated on the Chasing the Transfer:-
“Absolutely, they have their eye on this. Arteta knows where to go shopping when he wants to level up the levels of his own squad. And Cancelo at Man City is the perfect place for him to pick up a great talent.
“Ready to leave. And Man City are willing to let him go to another Premier League club. People constantly keep questioning whether they’re going to keep doing this.
“Man City don’t care what other teams do. They believe that they are the best. They believe that if they’re willing to let a player go, then it doesn’t matter where they go, they will have a better plan in store.”
Cancelo has been a incredible performer for Man City previously. But the Citizens became machine in the latter stages of the Premier League last season and they did it without Cancelo.
However, letting superstars such as Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko joining Arsenal have set to comeback and haunt Guardiola in past.
