Manchester United‘s offer €55M for Milinkovic Savic seems clearly insufficient by Lazio. Savic is one of the best players in Serie A this season. This season, he has already scored 3 goals and made 7 assists in 14 appearances for Lazio.

The Red Devils are expected to sign at least one midfielder this summer and their name have long been linked with Milinkovic Savic.

Manchester United’s offer €55M seems insufficient

Lazio’s current demand is €100M for the Serbian midfielder which is too much for the Red Devils. They rejected Man United’s €55M offer.

Juventus are also interested in Savic and they see him as their main man for rebuilding their future but €100M price tag is probably unrealistic for them.

Lazio hoping for a deal outside of Italy

Savic’s contract with Lazio expires in 2024 and they know, Juventus can’t pay this amount. Man United are interested but Lazio found their offer ‘clearly insufficient’.

Traveling around Europe

The Player’s agent has been traveling around ‘Europe to Grab’ the potential offers for his client ahead of the January transfer.

Erik Ten Hag is happy with the performance of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen but they still need another creative midfielder. Last summer, they spend the entire time chasing Frenkie’s design but this time they need a versatile midfielder because they are midfield is still lacking something.

Milinkovic Savic is a name that persistently does the rounds as potential interest for many clubs. He has a contract with Lazio until 2024 but he is ready to renew his contract with the condition to have a lower release clause.

After playing many years at Lazio, Savic might not want the club to lose him for free. If he will have a lower release clause, then he could have more control over his future if he desires to move to a top European Club.
