Mauricio Pochettino publically reveals his stand on Jordan Henderson signing

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino reveals his views on the transfer links of Jordan Henderson. Former Liverpool skipper Henderson is rumored to leave Al-Ettifaq, just six months after joining.

Owing to this exit, Pochettino was asked is he is willing to secure the services of Henderson. Speaking after FA Cup victory, the Argentine didn’t rule out the transfer move though. He said,

To be honest we didn’t talk about names. At the moment we are not talking about bringing players. I saw Behdad here in the manager’s room with Paul and Laurence. I think tomorrow we are going to have a chat because we will be in the training ground.

We didn’t talk about names or talk about position, we didn’t talk to bring players. For now, we are focusing on players like Andrey Santos to see what we are going to do.”

However, it will be surprising if the Englishman moves to London club. Being a Liverpool legend, the fans at Merseyside will wish to take him rather than a move away. Moreover, it will be a downgrade looking at the current position of Chelsea.

After playing in front of a handful of fans, his quality will also be a question for the clubs. He can be a choice for some Premier League clubs but surely not Chelsea. However, if this happens the image of Henderson will surely take a dip as joining a rival club.

Moreover, Chelsea will also not wish to add a player whose prime has passed as they will want fresh legs. But after the decision he made to move to the Middle East, nothing would surprise us from Jordan anymore.
