After loosing out both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia to Chelsea, Mersyside club Liverpool reignite their interest on French midfielder Manu Kone.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the 22-year-old will be again under radar of top clubs in Europe after getting back from injury. He wrote on Twitter/X :-

“Understand Manu Koné is finally back after injury. He’s running, starting to train and back in ‘Gladbach squad in the next days.

“Liverpool, PSG and Juventus have previously explored Koné deal – one to watch in th

e final weeks of the window.”

Earlier in this summer transfer window, Liverpool were targeting Manu Kone as a reinforcement in their midfield ranks. However, Reds are now desperate to sign him this summer.

Last month, journalist Christian Falk gave update of the situation:-

“He’s also on the list of Liverpool. You know, Schmadtke has an eye on him for six months. Funny thing is that his son is working at Gladbach as a manager, so you see, the direction is very short.”

Manu Kone made a name for himself in Germany, however he missed pre-season tour and U-21 World Cup due to injury. Liverpool can show their interest now after he returned to the training this week.

Last week was a one to remember for Reds supporters as Caicedo choose Chelsea at the very last moment. Romeo Lavia also opted a move to Stanford Bridge this summer.

Khephren Thuram is also under Liverpool’ radar as he’ll bee the perfect partner for Manu Kone at the Mersyside club in this upcoming campaign
