Newcastle have made a pre-contract offer for Dembele

According to journalist Ryan Taylor of Give Me Sport, Newcastle United have already made a significant pre-contract bid for Ousmane Dembele ahead of the summer transfer window.

Dembele is expected to be linked with several spectacular transfers in the coming months. At the end of the season, his contract with Barcelona will expire. The Frenchman was connected with a number of Premier League clubs at the close of the January transfer window. Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, and Chelsea are all said to be interested in signing the 24-year-old.

It’ll be interesting to watch whether any of the three make a move before the summer. Newcastle, on the other hand, appears to have tried to get ahead of their competitors.

In January, the Magpies were extremely busy. And the early indications are that Eddie Howe’s side has a great chance of staying in the Premier League.

Newcastle’s signing of Ousmane Dembele would be a significant statement of intent.

Newcastle’s opponents will undoubtedly be concerned about their chances of escaping relegation. And it’s because of the summer potential they could have.

It appears that they have big ambitions in the works. Newcastle have contacted Dembele and reinforced their interest with an offer, according to Taylor.

When Newcastle’s takeover was completed, they were immediately associated with practically every major player in the world.

However, it became clear quickly that their progress would be more sluggish.

If they stay up all summer, it could be a different story. As a result, it would be a mistake to dismiss their chances of signing someone of Dembele’s caliber.

Since his £97 million transfer, he has failed to live up to expectations. He does, however, have ‘world-class’ potential. And, more importantly, his arrival would be a clear indication of what is to come of Newcastle.
