Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are looking in the race to sign Benjamin Sesko in January. He is even considered to be the next Erling Haaland. Although, a deal for Victor Osimhen to Premier League was also in the market. However, it seems a little bit out of context now as he recently signed a contract renewal with Napoli. Therefore, the clubs are looking for a new target for their needs. One such name is 20-year old Benjamin Sesko. He is currently playing for RB Leipzig joining them from sister club Salzburg in summer. Though, he only has three appearances for the club playing second to Luis Openda.
Despite having an interest from several other clubs in Europe, he is yet to maintain a starter for his club. According to reports, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle and Man United are all monitoring his situation of Benjamin Sesko. With first-team opportunities looking hard to come, the Slovenian international maybe available in the winter transfer market. It is said that he is looking for game time as he wants to make an impact in Euro 2024. 90min reports that all the English clubs are informed pf the situation of the forward. Moreover, it is said that Sesko wants to be like Norwegian man Erling Haaland.
Speaking after a 2-1 win over Norway in September 2022, he was in full praise for the Viking. He said,
“He’s an amazing player, I’ve big respect for him, and I usually watch many YouTube videos about him.”
Moreover, after the game against Manchester City in the Champions League, he said,
“I’m very happy I received Haaland’s jersey. I want [to] keep it for my jersey collection. He also said ‘well played’, I was very happy.”
