Owen claims Liverpool should be worried about conceding early goals

Former Reds Micheal Owen claims Liverpool should be worried about conceding early goals as it might be a area of concern for manager Jurgen Klopp in future.

Reds again conceded an early first-half goal against LASK last night in UEFA Europa League. This is the fourth time Liverpool conceded first in this current campaign.

Liverpool won all these four matches as they are making a habit of brilliant second-half comebacks this season. However, manager Jurgen Klopp will be concerned about this and needs to address this problem as soon as possible.

Micheal Owen was also concerned about Liverpool’s continues poor start this season, despite their brilliant comeback in the second-half.

Speaking on Discovery+, Owen claims conceding early goals can be quiet potent for Klopp in future. He said :-

“I think he will be slightly concerned, they’ll probably look at it and think ‘why has that happened? Is it a coincidence? Does it happen too much to draw some conclusions to it?

“The overriding feeling would be a little bit of relief, it’s a great first result away from home, you get three points then all of a sudden you’re in a really strong position.

“He will be delighted but a few concerns about why it’s happening all the time. It’s some character they show to come back and win.”

Liverpool will now turn their attention to Premier League as they take on West Ham United on this Sunday. After Michail Antonio’s comment, Reds will all charged up to face them at Anfield.
