The Pakistan vs Sri Lanka game in Asia Cup 2023, on 14th September will be a virtual semi-final match. Winner of this contest will meet India on 17th September in final of the Asia Cup 2023.
As of now both team Pakistan and Sri Lanka have equal points in the Super 4’s. Whichever team wins the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka match will shoot up in the points table. Both teams have defeated Bangladesh in the Super 4’s and lost to India. Pakistan is behind Sri Lanka due to their NRR which got a belting due to 228 runs defeat in hands of India. So, for Pakistan only option to qualify is to beat Sri Lanka.

However, rain can play a spoil sport in the contest. As 70% chances of rain is predicted during the game in Colombo. If the game isn’t completed and points is split between the teams. Then Sri Lanka will advance to the final due to their better NRR than Pakistan. Fans from both the teams will be hoping rain-gods stays away so they can get a full game. Notably, in the previous days, also rain was predicted but it didn’t rain. So, Pakistan fans will be keeping their finger-crossed.
The final of the Asia Cup will be played on September 17. The match is likely to be shifted from Colombo to Kandy with rain being forecast in the Sri Lankan capital.
