Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola recently issues an injury update for winger Jeremy Doku. Pep also told when Doku will be available to play. The Sky Blues recently secured a hard fought win over Luton Town. Pep’s brigade came back from 0-1 to emerge 2-1 victorious. Goals from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish on the second half sealed the victory for the visitors. However, many believed that the absence of Haaland and Doku were a huge cause of their trailing behind.
Pep Guardiola revealed in the post-match conference that Haaland may be available in their next clash. But for Jeremy Doku, he said that they must be careful.
“It’s muscular, it’s not a big, big issue like Kevin [De Bruyne’s injury] was, for example. We have to think about it as well because of his explosiveness. We have to be careful. I don’t know when he be ready, maybe one week or two weeks, he will be ready again.”
The Premier League will be going to enter its busiest period in the upcoming weeks. Therefore, the Catalan boss will be hoping to have his best players back in the squad after recovery. The absence of some key players has been a huge cause for the inconsistent performance of the treble-winners. They are four points behind the league leaders Liverpool and if they are to defend their title, they must go on a winning-streak from now.
