It’s been over a month since the fallout between PSG and Kylian Mbappé was all over the news. The topic still continues to grab headlines. Understandable enough as it is about probably the biggest footballer of current times.
Mbappé out of PSG’s squad for the entire pre-season, which further clarifies that PSG consider him to be out their plans. They are also negotiating with FC Barcelona, to try and sign Ousmané Dembelé, in order to move on from Mbappé. They still believe that Kylian Mbappé has already signed an agreement with Real Madrid to sign with them in 2024.
It is reported that PSG do not plan to play Mbappé even once this season. They feel betrayed and will be ready to leave their star man on the sidelines if that is what’s required. However, they will gladly accept an offer for the Frenchman, even it’s for a one-season loan. Obviously, a lot of clubs are interested in signing the world class player.
Which clubs are looking to sign Kylian Mbappé?
As it was all over the news, Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal had offered a ‘humongous’ deal to sign the Frenchman for one season. They were willing to pay a world record fee of €300 million and a contract worth €700 million to bring Kylian to Saudi. It would have been the highest ever contract in the history of sports. Paris Saint-Germain gladly accepted the proposal, however, Mbappé completely snubbed it. He reportedly refused to even have a meeting with the Al-Hilal agents. It was also reported that ‘he’d rather stay on the bench for the entire season than go to Saudi at this stage in his career’. It could have been the solution to his problem, but understandably enough, he wants to stay in Europe.
Al-Hilal have so far been the only club to formally send an offer to PSG for Kylian. However, a number of Premier League clubs are willing to offer a solution to PSG and Mbappé amidst the chaos. According to multiple reports, Liverpool FC were rumoured to have been planning a ‘shocking’ season long loan deal for Mbappé. However, the rumours were shot down by Jürgen Klopp in a recent interview with Sky Germany.
Several other PL clubs including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Man City and Man Utd were also rumoured to try and sign Mbappé. Nothing is official yet though.
Amidst all this, PL giants Chelsea are planning an ‘unbelievable’ move for the star man and not just on a loan.
Chelsea’s owner Todd Bohley is aiming an unbelievable transfer move for Kylian Mbappé
According to The Sun, Chelsea reportedly are eyeing a sensational permanent move for Mbappé. It is reported that Todd Bohley has contacted PSG’s president, Nasser Al Khelaifi to enquire about Kylian. Chelsea might make an offer for about £215 million to secure the deal. PSG are apparently demanding atleast £200m for their star man.
Chelsea are in need of a prolific attacker in their rebuild process under Pochettino. After completing the signings of Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, they have been linked to Vlahovic for a move and now with Kylian Mbappé. Even though the move is nearly ‘impossible’ to pull off, Todd Bohley seems confident.
Mbappé however, is reported to be against a move to Chelsea. While he will be happy with a season long move to the Premier League, he doesn’t want to go there on a permanent transfer. He only has Real Madrid in his plans, with the los blancos also planning to sign him in the summer of 2024.
