Pundit Julien Laurens says he don’t understand why Manchester United not start their £60m signing

ESPN pundit Julien Laurens questions why Manchester United not start Mason Mount. Manchester United signed Mount from Chelsea for a big sum of £60m. He was even reported to be a key signing for Erik Ten Hag. However, the England international has been starting from the bench since last few games. It has been a difficult start for Mason at Old Trafford who is yet to score a goal there. Now, Laurens has asked questions from the manager regarding this on ESPN FC. Discussing about the life of 24-year old under Ten Hag, pundit said,

“Why did you buy Mason Mount, then? Why did you make like five different offers? You insisted to sign him and now you don’t use him.

I just think Mason Mount deserves a chance now because clearly a lot of things are not working right now.”

However, if Mount never left the Stamford Bridge, Chelsea might not have felicitated the move for Cole Palmer. The former Manchester City man is proving out to be the perfect signing for the Blues so far. The only fact Chelsea fans will agree is Mount would have started over Gallagher. Though, Gallagher is also doing pretty well this season. However, in terms of attacking, the Englishman would have been a bigger threat. Moreover, his most impressive Premier League stats with Chelsea were scoring 11 goals an 10 assists in 32 games.

Even if Chelsea failed to keep him, they will not be much disappointed. The impact of Palmer ha been brilliant and fans are loving him. Despite Mount’s bad start, it will be some sort of injustice to judge him so early with his new club and manager.
