Pundit suggests Aaron Ramsdale might leave Arsenal in January

Pundit Gaby Agbonlahor claims goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale might look to leave Arsenal in January if he can’t take his spot back into the playing-11.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Agbonlahor praised Arsenal for there fantastic return to Champions League football this season. Gunners defeated Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven by 4:0.

Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice performed at highest level on their European debut on Wednesday. PSV couldn’t cope with Arteta’s constant spree of attacks and at the end, the scoreline speaks everything.

Mikel Arteta has already claimed he wants atleast two players in each position at Arsenal. Hence, he bought David Raya form Brentford FC this summer.

Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale started the campaign but he was replaced by David Raya against Everton last week. However, the Spaniard also started last night and kept a clean sheet for the home team.

Pundit Gaby Agbonlahor suggests if Raya performs at his level, Ramsdale have to consider his future elsewhere in January. The 25-year-old want to be in the England squad for Euro 2024 as he can’t afford to sit on the bench.

Agbonlahor suggested his views about the situation and said :-

“100%. [Dean] Henderson left Manchester United and gone to Crystal Palace and he’s got a task to get Sam Johnstone out the side.

“You have to go and play somewhere, it’s as simple as that and we said about [Kalvin] Phillips and [Harry] Maguire but [Aaron] Ramsdale, he’ll be devastated.

“[He] got his team into the Champions League, was a big part of it, football’s heartless.”

However, Arteta suggested he’ll rotate his squad this season and hence Ramsdale should get due to opportunities for the Gunners this season.
